we loved this guitar from the moment i held it, felt it, and heard it. For a guitar in its price range I have yet to find a classical guitar(one i can afford!) I like more, based mainly on sound. As classical guitars go this one is standard in terms of features (compared to others in that range), it is after all the bottom of the Esteve range. Having said that, i find the construction solid, and the choice of materials very good, again in terms of its sound. it has a light, balanced feel. the tuners are basic, yet effective, and stay in tune well (big plus!). the rosewood fretboard is typically wide, and has a nice feel about it. The bridge is simple, but i am impressed by the addition of a bone saddle (not the common plastic in most guitars in this price range), which i believe improves the sound quality. overall a very acceptable instrument indeed. I have always wanted to own a spanish built classical guitar, and this one did not disapoint
The sound is fantastic. I find it warm, mellow and with depth. trebles are rounded yet able to cut through, and basses have body and depth, which makes for a nicely balanced sound. i would best describe it as bright, pure and harmonic, in fact exactly what i would expect from a guitar built in spain. there is a quality of sound that stands above most of the korean (and other) instruments i have tried. i am sure there are many guitars that possess better sound qualities, but i doubt you will find them within a bulls roar this price range. i looked for a long time, and have yet to find one, in fact many guitars twice this price i felt had an inferior quality of sound. sound is, after all, the essence of the classical guitar, and this one has it big time. if you want better, and you would if you are a serious classical player, be prepared to pay considerably more.
For my purposes, I love the sound of this guitar, and being a solid top i am looking forward to how this will improve.
